The Addams team would like to share a weekly update to inform families of upcoming events, highlight student learning, and offer strategies to help set all students up for success. We would like to highlight a few of our AMAZING staff members each week. Jane Addams is so fortunate to have such a committed, caring, and highly skilled staff! Thank you for all you do!

Students in grades 2nd-5th will bring home a family report that has their NWEA scores for math and reading. This report shows your child's current scores for both math and reading and math growth over time. It tells if your child is projected to be pass the M-Step test and is based on the current score. The back page shares ideas of how families can support their student at home. We take the NWEA computer assessment in September, January, and May. Teachers and the instructional team look closely at student scores (NWEA, classroom data, etc) over time to make decisions on how to best support ALL students reach their next goal.

Each week, our classrooms focus on a different social emotional skill and are motivated through a staff shout out competition. Shout Out vidoes are shared weekly in school, on Class Dojo, and Facebook. Please follow our school's Facebook page for pictures and up to date information!

Please discuss this week's skill and try the cheer together! We celebrate successes throughout our day at Jane Addams Elementary!
