Meet The AAA High School Admin Team
Melody Morgan- Principal
Mrs. Morgan, is beginning her 28th year in education and as of Monday, July 17 officially begins her first year at Arkansas Arts Academy. “I am excited about the opportunity to engage with students and staff in such an amazing school. I am eager to share my passion for learning and look forward to leading and growing our students, school and community.”
Mrs. Morgan has a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Secondary Business, a
Master of Science in Education in Educational Leadership and a Specialist in Education in
Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. Mrs. Morgan brings a wealth of
best practices and experience as a result of her extensive career in education in Arkansas.
She began her career at Highland High School as a secondary business teacher and
technology coordinator, moving up to assistant principal and state reporting coordinator for
the district. Over the course of her career, she has also served as Director of State Student
Assessment for the Arkansas Department of Education and Assistant Director for the
National Office for Research on Measurement and Evaluation Systems for the University of
Arkansas. Most recently she served as the Director of Teaching and Learning for the
Arkansas Public School Resource Center following six years at Springdale School District
where she served as the Director of Accountability and Assessment. Each of these roles
provided Mrs. Morgan with valuable insight in leading systematic change while ensuring the
focus remains on the students.
Melody lives in Northwest Arkansas with her husband and has a daughter and son-in-law in
Colorado Springs. When not at work, Melody enjoys attending Razorback games with her
family and friends and exploring all the wonderful opportunities available in Northwest
Arkansas.
Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Morgan to AAA. Her expertise in education, education systems and leadership is equally matched by her passion for the arts, her welcoming personality and her incredible love for students. We are thrilled to have her onboard and a part of our AAA community.
Jamie Dale- Assistant Principal 10-12
Ms. Jamie Dale returns to Arkansas Arts Academy for her 8th year at AAA and her 3rd as an assistant principal! Ms. Dale holds an Associate of Arts degree from NWACC, a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology from the University of Arkansas, a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education from the University of Arkansas, and an Education Specialist degree in Education Leadership from Arkansas State University. Ms. Dale states that the students and teachers at AAA are the best. They are the reason she loves AAA. Her favorite part of the job is watching teachers work their magic in classrooms. Our teachers invest in each student and do their best to help them grow into well-rounded humans. AAA HS staff see students as much more than numbers or test scores. Every student has a story and a special gift they bring to the community. Watching and helping students discover their gifts and their confidence and grow is her passion.
Ms. Dale has two amazing daughters (Savannah and Alex), a dog who thinks he is her third child, three cats, thirteen chickens, and two, possibly immortal, fish. When she is not at school, she is outside. She loves all things nature, and she is working toward making her dream of a hobby farm a reality.
Dr. Ellen Langley- Assistant Principal 7-9

With her wealth of knowledge, Dr. Langley strives to be a constant advocate for the students and staff of AAA.
Outside of work, Dr. Langley enjoys being physically active and being outdoors (camping, kayaking, etc.). Some of her hobbies include playing percussion, singing, and building extensive Lego sets (stop by her office to see some of them). Dr. Langley and her wife, Michaela, live in Springdale with their array of furry friends (Two dogs: Bach and Scout, Two Cats: Whitacre and Vivaldi, and Bunny: Moose).
