Grewenow. We are Great; we are Growing!

We have a lot sickness going around the school and we would appreciate parents/guardians comply with the following guidelines:

School guidelines advise a child stay home if he/she:

• Has a fever of 100 degrees or higher

• Has been vomiting or has diarrhea

• Has very red, irritated eye(s)

• Has a rash not evaluated by a medical provider

• Has head lice or nits

• Has symptoms that keep him/her from participating in school, such as:

  • Deep or uncontrollable cough and sneezing

  • Severe pain from ear ache, stomach ache, body aches or headache

WI state law (118.15) states that a child may not be excused for more than 10 days in a school year.

24-hour rule:

Fever (100 degrees or higher):

Keep your child home until his/her fever has been gone without medicine for 24 hours.

Vomiting or diarrhea:

Keep your child home for 24 hours after the last time he/she vomited or had diarrhea and is eating a normal diet.

Antibiotics:

Keep your child home at least 24 hours after the first dose of antibiotic.

We often have many ill children and adults coming to school, and each one is passing their sickness to others.

Please help others from becoming ill by keeping your child home while they are sick.

Please stop by our lost and found located outside the main office . We have many items that would like to be returned to their owners.

As the winter weather provides additional challenges during the morning and after school drop-off and pick-up, PLEASE abide by ALL City parking signs.

Dropping of students on the curbside of 20th avenue is a violation of city law and is a ticketable offense.

Cars parked on the boulevard combined with illegal curbside drop off, blocks buses and daycare vans, and has resulted in damage to side mirrors and doors.

It is important for students to get outside and play as often as possible, so it is important to prepare your child for outdoor recess!

Students in Gr. 3-5 will be attending the Kohl's Wild Theater performance of "Leona Lionheart Saves the World."

This summer the parent and student portal will be updated to a new version. This version is available now for parents and student to try. One major change is where the online registration link is located.
