Habit 1: Be Proactive
Being proactive means that we take responsibility for our words, actions, and choices. We know we have the power to impact our lives for the better. We have the agency to make things happen. We have the agency to make things happen. The principles of effectiveness in Habit 1 are responsibility, choice, accountability, initiative, and resourcefulness.
Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind
Beginning with the end in mind means that we take time to define our vision and purpose clearly. We have the opportunity to define outcomes before we act. We can make choices that shape our future, rather than leaving it up to other people or circumstances. Habit 2 aligns with the principles of vision, commitment, and purpose.
Habit 3: Put First Things First

Making W.A.V.E.S. and Positive Referrals
W - Wise Decisions
A - Ambitious
V - Value Self and Others
E - Encourage
S - Self-Reliant
Your child can earn a WAVE slip every day if they are seen following our building-wide expectations. On Friday all those WAVES are sent to the office at the end of the day. We pull 2 WAVES from each class for students to come to the office for a prize.
Every day, your child has an opportunity to receive a positive referral. Positive referrals are for students making big WAVES. These referrals are recorded in Skyward. Each morning, during announcements, students who have received a positive referral are called down to the office and given the opportunity to call home to celebrate their positive referral.
