HALLOWEEN at Prairie Trails
We had a great time celebrating Halloween at Prairie Trails. Please use the link below to watch our annual Halloween Parade through the halls and around the building. Our Chipmunks were the cutest!!!
FIST BUMP FRIDAY
On Friday, November 4, be on the look out for Officer Friendly and other officers from the Mount Prospect Police Department welcoming our students to school with a fist bump!
This program looks to help connect students, families and staff with officers and begin Friday on a fun and positive start.
They will be here at 8:45 to greet the kids in the morning and the will be here in the afternoon for the pre-k at 12:50.
Important Pick-Up Drop Off Reminders
- If you are waiting in the car pick up line before 3:20, please turn off your engine. We have many cars lining up super early and leaving their cars idling. Help us keep our children and environment healthy by keeping engines off until the line begins to move after 3:20.
- Morning supervision ends at 9:00 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday, and at 9:50 on Thursdays. If you come after 9:00 or 9:50, you will need to park and walk your child into the main office to sign them in. They will be marked tardy.
- Please do not park in the fire lane on Burning Bush just north of Kensington. At arrival and dismissal when there are cars in the fire lanes, it is difficult for the busses to get through and creates a safety hazard as I have seen children run into the street to get into their cars. Please park after the fire lane or on a side street instead. Thank you in advanced for your understanding.
Dress for the Weather
WEATHER
Students will be going outside for recess every day unless there is thunder/lighting, moderate/hard rain or snow, extreme amounts of ice or if there are sustained temperatures/wind chill below 15 degrees Fahrenheit.
Make sure students are dressed appropriately for the weather when they leave in the morning and that they have a change of clothes at school incase they get wet outside.
