Dear Village Families,
As I reflect on the 2020-2021 school year, I am struck by what a resilient, warm, and welcoming community Village is. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the Village students, parents, and staff for continuing to build a stong and thriving community.
Of special note are the truly tireless and dedicated teachers we have at Village. We recognize and appreciate them no time more so than this year, where we saw teachers transform classroom learning to distance learning, all the while ensuring that students were learning, cared for, and remained part of the classroom and school community.
I did write this in the last Eagle Gazette, but it’s worth repeating! I would also like to thank you--our Village Parents. You have had to pivot, swivel, adjust, adhere, rearrange, reschedule, home-school, and so much more to help us provide school this year! We so very much appreciate your patience and flexibility as we navigated safety protocols, regulations, ever-shifting information, uncertainty, stress, and so much more! This is a truly supportive and amazing Village community.
Our Village Eagles have been through a lot together this year. We made it through firestorms, power-outages, smoke days, and a global pandemic! Despite all of this, or perhaps because of it, this year we have learned resilience, empathy, courage, kindness, generosity, and good citizenship. We’ve been through a lot together, and we’ve come through it all Village Strong!
I hope you all have a relaxing, enriching, safe summer filled with fun and family! And, no matter what 2021-2022 throws at us, I have no doubt that we all will come through it all a closer, more resilient Village!
