Husky Howler 2/23/24 (Guardians)
We are the PACK!
Smiley Thoughts
PACK Guardians,
We have two more weeks of instruction before spring break. During that time, we will be taking benchmarks and the dates/subjects are in the calendar section of this newsletter. Please know that quality "Tier 1" instruction (whole group instruction) is our primary focus and a benchmark results is a temperature check to see where we are at this point in the year. Remind your student that their job is to just do their very best so we can make adjustments to help them! Here are some other reminders:
6th grade guardians! - Nurse Olivares would like me to communicate that some of you will be receiving a letter regarding immunization requirements for the 24-25 school year. Please provide her proof of immunization record, a written medical exemption from your physician that provides the medical reason, or complete the original Exemption Affidavit letter from DSHS (submitting is the first step, you must receive and affidavit and this can take up to six weeks). This will help prevent any delays in your student starting the school year in August. Check with your pediatrician to make sure your students' shot records are up to date. Your student may already have up to date immunizations for Tdap and MCV (required for all incoming 7th graders), but Nurse Olivares needs a copy. Documents can be dropped off at the front office of Hubbard or sent directly to eleanor.olivares@tylerisd.org. Thank you!
Chromebooks - Some students are trying to get creative with Chromebooks and reset them, or as they call it "power wash." Please know that this is a violation of the tech agreement for student devices.
***REPEATS***
