Upcoming Dates

Monday 9/24 at 5:30 EMIS Curriculum Night

Wednesday 9/26 (6th Grade) & Thursday 9/27 (4th and 5th) are NEW picture days.

Please make sure prior to your pre-conference you have completed your PDP following the steps noted. The admin assigned to you will be in touch on specific pre-post conference times. Thanks!

Clubs will begin this week. A few quick notes:

1) Based on student interest some clubs combined and teacher duties did shift. Please see update here.

2) You will get club passes for students in your mailbox the day before your club starts. Please pass out that afternoon. Encourage students not to lose these for the first day.

You will also get a list sorted by HR.

4) Please do not send students to the office unless they do not have a club. If they would like to select a new club they can do so in January. (again, most students got their first choice)

Notice & Note Strategy of the Week

Notice and Note - Please refer to week 1. Amy is updating so that Notice & Note strategies will be used with current novels.

ELA PLC-Please remember our focus is 1 Notice & Note strategy per week AND focus on the question stems associated with your standard.

Eagle Time - Absences

This is ONLY for the limited times we have absences this year.

Please see the last tab on THIS SPREADSHEET for our plan if one of our SGIs has to be out and miss Eagle Time. Hopefully you can fold the additional kids into whatever you’re doing, but we realize in some cases that will not be feasible. In that case, just having them sit and read silently will be fine. Please take careful note of the locations. In some cases the extra students will join you…but in other cases (those of you meeting in tutor rooms) you will take your group and join the other students.

Our classrooms look beautiful!

There seemed to be a unusually high number of requests for posters and laminated items.

Kim was able to catch up with those requests but has run out of poster paper and laminating sheets.

The shipment will arrive sometime in late October so please pause all requests.

Once we have those materials please be selective in what really *needs* to be poster size and what really *needs* to be laminated. We did go through a very large amount of resources in only a month.
