We have really enjoyed seeing our students again and welcoming them back for the 2023-2024 school year!
DISMISSAL
Dismissal is at 2:45pm (parent pick up will be released at 2:50). If you need to pick up your student before that, you will have to come into the building with your state-issued ID. Students will REMAIN IN THEIR 7th PERIOD CLASSES OR BUS ROOMS until their buses are called.
STUDENTS WALKING HOME
If you desire your student to walk home after today, please make sure to fill out the walker's permit and send it back to school tomorrow! Students may only walk home with parent permission.
PARENT PICK UP
If you are picking up your student, please enter the Recreation Center parking lot from Woodbury Ave and drive up the access road between the Recreation Center and North Middle that runs parallel with Athletic Street. Students being picked up by parents will not be released until the first wave of buses leave at 2:50pm (for safety reasons). PARENTS, PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE SCHOOL PARKING LOT FROM EAST ROAD OR ATHLETIC STREET since we have a lot of students walking home and buses in the parking lots. If you do not want to wait in the parent line, you can park at the Recreation Center and your child can walk across the field to your vehicle. Then you can exit from the Recreation Center parking lot back onto Woodbury Ave.
EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION
Your child is coming home today with an emergency card. We need you to fill out your contact information AND SIGN THE BACK OF THE CARD so we can contact you in case of an emergency and give an iPad to your student. iPads will not be issued to students who do not have a signed emergency card on file at school by Thursday.

We are trying to reduce the number of times we directly text message parents and instead use the Berkeley County Public Schools phone app to keep parents aware of announcements and events. PLEASE, if you haven't already, GO TO YOUR APP STORE RIGHT NOW AND DOWNLOAD THE BERKELEY COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS APP on your phone! All of our newsletters and major, non-emergency notifications will take place on the app beginning in September!
