LETTER FROM YOUR PRINCIPAL
Dear Bobcat Families,
Santa Rita is blessed to have a staff of outstanding teachers. This year, Santa Rita teachers voted Ms. Kaili Salyers as Santa Rita's Teacher of the Year. We also congratulate Ms. Khanh Nguyen who was selected as Santa Rita's classified employee of the year!
Science Olympiad!
One June 6th, our 4th-6th graders will participate and compete in Science Olympiad! Santa Rita is unique, we are the only school in LASD that offers this amazing day. BUT....we must have over 50 volunteers to make this day happen. You do not need to have a 4th-6th grader to help out. In fact, we love to have parents from all grade levels. If you know any high school students or middle school students who are not in school and would like some volunteer hours we would love to have them also.
Please volunteer and sign up soon:

LASD Community Festival is THIS Sunday, May 7th
As a way to celebrate LAEF’s 40th anniversary and to recognize the greatness of all of our LASD schools, there is a major celebration on Sunday, May 7th right here on the Covington campus. Each LASD school will be represented by providing games and activities. There will also be a number of community entities involved in this festival. Food trucks, games, a live DJ and so much more- all to honor the great partnership the Los Altos community has created in providing the very best educational experience for all LASD students.
The event begins at 4pm and everyone is invited. Please encourage your neighbors, even if they don’t have children in LASD, to come celebrate with us.
Watch this video from LASD Superintendent Sandra McGonagle to learn more about the festival, and visit LAEFonline.org/Festival.
Los Altos Family Bike Day:
