I hope you enjoyed the long weekend! Thank you to all who attended our Building Project Community Meeing Thursday! it was great to get parent/guardian feedback and for us to share out our work to date. I look forward to sharing so many exciting updates to come.

Killam Building Project Updates
- Our first community meeting was Thursday. It was very successful and can be found on the RCTV site.
- Mrs. McGinnity, Ms. Cole, Mrs. Iozzo, Mrs. Fulton, and Dr. Milaschewski represent our educational vision team for the building project internally. They visited 3 newly built schools in MA last week and will be sharing some ideas with our design team and staff.
- This week we will have some different consultants in the building assessing our technology, site space, etc.
- The first educational forum with local stakeholders will take place Friday.

Keeping Children Safe & Secure Online: A Project Safe Childhood Presentation for Parents
Dear Parents, Community Members, School Administrators and School Resource Officers,
We are pleased to announce the United States Attorney’s Office District of Massachusetts will be holding an online webinar for adults that will bring awareness to the dangers children face online and to educate adults on how to keep children safe. There is an attached flyer as well as the registration link below which you can copy and paste into an email to distribute. Please feel free to share this information with your communities. Space is limited and registration is required in advance.

Student Services gave a presentation on the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) used by the Reading Public Schools to give targeted attention to students who need additional support.

Basic Rights Workshop: Evaluation and Eligibility
A comprehensive introduction to special education laws and procedures.
Purpose of the law, referrals, evaluations, team meeting process, determining eligibility, services and placement, what if student is not found to be eligible for services, after the team meeting, parent’s response options to an IEP, procedural due process rights for resolving disputes.
