This is Mrs. Fiscus with your weekly update. This week our clubs continue to be in full action. We are adding Girls on the Run to the mix. See our newsletter for a link to sign up for this deeply discounted club. Also in the newsletter is information in regard to an organization that helps pay community sports fees. If your child is currently enrolled in Medicaid, SNAP, or WIC you may qualify for assistance. The link to find out more about this program is in the weekly newsletter.

This year our students and staff are participating in spirit days that align with the diagnoses and disabilities that our students have. This Friday is Congenital Heart Defect and Disease Awareness Day. Please wear red to support a Yowell student and the CHD community.

Our art teacher, Mrs. Korona is in need of newspapers and magazines! If you have any of these that you are looking to get rid of please send them to Yowell so that she can incorporate them into her art lessons. Thank you in advance.

Please have your student(s) check out this week's lost and found. If they see something have them go to the computer lab to claim it from Mrs. Galenski. We will wash and donate unclaimed items at the end of the week. Thank you.

With winter approaching, we must prepare for the possibility of inclement weather. The decision-

making process for closing schools for inclement weather is complex with the safety of our students

and staff as our top priority. In the event of a 2-hour delay breakfast will not be served. Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions about weather closings/delays...

In an effort to assist schools and parents with current information about bus changes, transportation has added a new item on their website called: Transportation - Morning Update. The direct link can be found here.

We will be posting departure times for buses each day to assist parents with receiving their child from the bus stop. Please check this document each afternoon.
