Thoughts from Dr. Pacatte
As we enter the fourth quarter of the school year, I always begin gearing up for the large number of end-of-year events that our schools host. Concerts, drama performances, award ceremonies, and many other special events begin to fill the calendar. Here is some great news! Our new calendar/event page on the d56 website provides a scrolling list of events along with the ability to upload the event to the calendar on your device. Google, Outlook, or iCal are all available for you to drop a rehearsal, performance, or sporting event into your calendar. Once you are on our website, scroll to the bottom of the main page and you'll find a link to "see all events". Each individual event that is schedule will provide an "add to calendar" link when you hover over the event.
On a mobile device, events appear when you open the app. A couple of taps on the event you are wanting to attend, will allow you to add it to your calendar.
So, if you are juggling a lot of events, this new feature can help you make sure you don't miss something important for your child(ren).
