Volunteer Central
Here are our volunteer opportunities for the week of September 10th. This is a bye week, so this is a great chance for you to look at our upcoming opportunities and plan ahead.
This is also a great chance to get your background check completed! If you have already done your background check and been approved, please please please go join the Hebron Band Event in Voly (Step 3 when you click the Voly button below). Contest season starts in less than 3 weeks, and we’ll need nearly twice as many volunteers to handle Friday night games and Saturday morning contests, so if you’ve just been watching the signups and noticing how fast they fill up, well, go get your background check and jump in there, I promise, you don’t want to miss out on all the fun!!
- This week’s middle school game (Creek Valley vs Arbor Creek) is on TUESDAY at Hebron’s stadium, and we need help with band concessions that night. By helping with concessions for the middle school games you will receive one $20 credit per game toward your student’s fundraising goal of $450!
- Memory Books is looking for volunteers from each section of the band to help go through the pictures that are taken and make sure that all band members are represented in the book. Please go to the signup for more information.
- As you’re looking ahead on our sign-up page, please pay particular attention to opportunities to help with Spirit Wear at Parent Preview in 2 weeks and look way ahead to Trunk or Treat coming up at the end of October. That’s a super fun event that you don’t want to miss helping out for!
- If you have any questions reach out to Nikki Wilson at volunteers@hebronband.org

Thank you to Lisa Manis Crenshaw of Texas Tradition Photogrpahy (texastraditionphoto.org)! She is a former band parent and long time Sponsor of the Hebron Band!! She also took optional student portraits yesterday!
Yesterday Lisa ran a Band Family Special where she offered to let band families sign up for a senior or family session with her for $35 (regular price $175) and then she will donate the session price back to the band!!!
Squad Funds-Now through Sept. 14th- Just 4 days left!!
SquadFunds Fundraiser- If EVERY band student got 5 people to donate $10 towards Squadfunds, we would meet our goal!
We have $72,000 raised in Squadfunds!
Our stretch goal is $90,000 so that the kids can "decorate" Mr. Sealy with silly string!!!! Let's keep the momentum going!!
The last few days are REALLY important. Please share, share, share the fundraiser link!
We have 30 students who have joined squadfunds, but have not entered any emails. Please send the fundraiser out this week- we need everyone’s participation to make our goal!!
Our top 5 students on the Leader Board are:
Isaac Burton
Lauren Spurgen
Jessica Andrews
Ashley Chapman
Nicholas Velasquez
Currently the percussion section is in first place for the top section. The prize for the top section is a water balloon fight with the directors!
Please continue to share the link for your student’s campaign in social media. It is still not too late to add more emails!
Spirit Days Krispy Kreme this week!
Doughnuts for a cause!!
On Thursday, September 14th, 2023, Hebron Band will go head to head with other school groups, with the goal to sell as many dozens of Original Glazed doughnuts as possible in 24 hours. The top 10 organizations on this day will receive a bonus donation for their cause, up to $500!
While September 14th is the start date, this fundraiser will last until October 13th and 50% of every order will be donated back to Hebron Band.
Simply buy online, visit your local store & redeem using your code. Treat yourself or even gift them to friends and family. If everyone sells just 1 dozen, we can make over $2800! This is a nationwide event so share on your social media platforms! Visit this website and click on any of the social media icons on the top right corner and it will post to your favorite social media source. Share, share, share, to help spread the word! #krispykreme #groupraise #digitaldozen #hebronband #donuts #AIATT

LISD Bond & VATRE Information
The Hebron Band Booster Club would like to let our parents know that the LISD Board of Trustees has voted to call for a $1.23B bond election and a voter-approved tax rate ratification election (VATRE). Both proposals will be up for voter approval on November 7th.
Registered voters residing within Lewisville ISD boundaries will be asked to consider a total of seven propositions that would generate additional funding to support educational programs and conduct maintenance, repairs and renovations across the district. If voters approve all six bond propositions (totaling $1.23B) and the VATRE, the total tax rate will be 10.6 cents lower than last year’s tax rate, a double-digit decrease in the total rate.
