From the Principal's Desk
May 24, 2021
Greetings FWAFA Family,
What a wild ride school has been this year! I just want to take a moment to sincerely thank all of our wonderful students, amazing parent supporters, and awesome teachers for your grace and resilience as we figured out how to "do school" during a global pandemic. FWAFA is definitely a family, and I am so proud to serve this incredible community. You inspire me on a daily basis!
The things you need to know this week are the following:
1. PTSO is having a FREE FASHION DAY on Thursday, May 27. Just bring your gently worn and too small uniforms to school in exchange for a wristband allowing you to wear your own fashion that day. Please be mindful of school dress code standards when it comes to lengths and holes, etc.
2. The Elementary School Supply List is attached to the JupiterEd email where you found the link to this newsletter. You can either purchase from the TBC fundraiser or purchase your supplies on your own. Supply lists for middle and high school will be published in August at the beginning of school.
3. Summer Reading Assignments are on the website under the Resources tab and in this newsletter. If you have questions about the summer reading, please talk to your reading/English teacher.
I hope everyone has a safe, fun, relaxing, rejuvenating summer. You have all earned it! We know we have a lot of work to do next year, and we are already elbow-deep in the planning stages of what promises to be the best FWAFA year yet - 2021-2022! Can't wait to see everyone back on August 16! Take care and see you soon!
Creatively yours,
Dr. Jackson

It’s time to order your school supplies for this fall! To make school supply shopping easy, our Texas Boys Choir has teamed up with a bulk supply company to purchase school supply packs for next school year. Order forms were sent home with elementary students last week and are also available to download/print online and return to the school.
Please visit https://fwafaschoolsupplies.godaddysites.com/ for more information. Supply packs include all supplies needed for elementary (grades 3-6) academics and fine arts classes, with the exception of dance & PE clothes/bag and the FWAFA planner, which will be available for purchase this summer.
Pre-ordered supplies will be delivered to the school before Back-to-School Night in August. Get your order in quickly so you don’t miss out on this great opportunity to save some time and support the Texas Boys Choir!
If you prefer to buy school supplies on your own, please see the JupiterEd email with the link to this newsletter for the attachment of the School Supply List.
Yearbooks On Sale Now!
1. Go to this direct link https://www.balfour.com/texas/fort-worth/fort-worth-academy-of-fine-arts
to order your yearbook. They are only available to purchase online.
2. Order quickly! We sell out every year!
3. They will be full color - 144 pages and $58.00. The yearbook will cover elementary, middle, and high school performances and events!
4. There will be options to order extra autograph pages, a protective cover, and a yearzine.
5. Due to COVID and in order to have enough content, we pushed back the yearbook distribution to late summer. The exact date that they will be passed out has not been determined yet, but I will keep everyone posted. We know it's not as much fun to get them after school is over, but please don't let that get in the way of ordering a book. This will be a year to remember! We worked really hard to get this book done during this crazy time!
6. Normally everything that happens after spring break isn’t included. This year, Ms. Wiggins will get to include many things that are happening after spring break which is very exciting!
7. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THEY ARE GOING ON SALE! They were not available to purchase at the first of the year.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email Ryan Wiggins - Yearbook Advisor.
May is Mental Health Month!
