i-Ready Diagnostic Results
Hard copies (1 math & 1 reading) will be sent home with your child on Jan. 11th (report card day).
- All parents please see Understanding Your Child’s Diagnostic Results.
- If your child received a red/yellow rush flag on the diagnostic, please note rush flags indicate that the student spent less than 15 seconds per question on the assessment. As a result, your student’s score is likely to be lower than his/her true ability. i-Ready tests are untimed. Prior to testing, students are encouraged to take their time and do their best. Data from the Reading and Math assessments are used when making instructional decisions. By making you aware of your child’s decision, we hope you will have a better understanding of the factors that have impacted the results. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s current ELA or math teacher.
Tardies To School
- Dear Parents & Guardians,
Happy New Year! I hope this message finds you well.
As we embark on a new semester at Marrington Middle School of the Arts, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your ongoing dedication to ensuring your children arrive at school on time. The number of students tardy to school has been cut in half from this time last school year. Your commitment to punctuality not only sets a positive example for your children but also contributes to a smooth and effective learning environment for everyone.
Starting this semester, we will be implementing a reset on tardies to MMSOA, meaning every student started at zero tardies to school on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024. This reset serves as a fresh start for all students, offering them the opportunity to maintain consistent punctuality until the end of the school year. Nevertheless, I kindly request your continued support in ensuring your students arrive at school on time. Consistent and timely attendance is key to fostering a productive and successful educational experience for every child.
Thank you once again for your cooperation and commitment!
Wishing You A Fantastic Semester, Alison Thornley MMSOA Principal
