Congratulations to senior Hunter Hitt! He signed his letter of intent to play baseball with the Cameron University Aggies. We are so proud of you.

It was another successful UIL state qualifying meet for Sunnyvale debate.

1st place: Sydney Fawcett and Emma Vaughan

2nd place: Lyla Gent and Amit Kumar

4th place: Sofia Cantù and Valentina Fernandez

Tops speaker at the tournament with perfect speaking: Emma Vaughan

1st and 2nd place will compete at UIL state policy meet on March 15-16.

This past weekend SHS Swim Competed at the Regional Swim Meet in Frisco. The Lady Raiders came in Third Place overall and took home a regional trophy for the team. Brooke Johnson qualified for the State Swim Meet which will take place next week in San Antonio.

Lady Raider Relay teams (Hannah Powell, Brooke Johnson, Camden Mitschke, Ella Sandler and Claire Stephens) took 4th in the Medley Relay and 200 Freestyle Relay. Raider Relay teams (Mario Castellon, Austin Taylor, Jace Mangrum, Ben Stephens, Felipe Castellon, Sam Frazer and Andrew Zhang) took 3rd in the 200 Freestyle Relay and 5th in the 400 Freestyle Relay.

Individual Awards are as follows:

Girls:

Brooke Johnson - 2nd Place in 50 Free (State Qualifier) and 3rd Place in 100 Backstroke

Camden Mitschke - 3rd Place in 200 Free

Hannah Powell - 5th Place in 50 Free and 4th Place in 100 Breaststroke

Claire Stephens - 5th Place in 500 Free

Boys:

Felipe Castellon - 5th Place in 100 Individual Medley and 3rd Place in 100 Butterfly

Mario Castellon - 3rd Place in 100 Free and 5th Place in 100 Breaststroke

Jace Mangrum - 3rd Place in 50 Free

Ben Stephens - 6th Place in 100 Backstroke

Congrats, once again, to our ever-successful Destination Imagination teams, who ALL medaled at regionals. Special shout out to The 6 Treasure Seekers (Hanna Hill, Esha Nair, Anna Parker, Emily Reyes, Eva Suresh and Vedhika Vinu) who are advancing to the state meet in April! Way to go, Raiders!

SHS is in the process of bringing together different occupations for our students to learn about. SHS wants them to see the variety of opportunities in the real world. The program will be a gallery walk in our gym. We will release our students in two sessions. The high school wants to give them enough time to be able to explore the different career paths. You will have a six foot table to create a booth - you'll be able to bring handouts, displays or even different activities that students might enjoy. SHS wants our students to hear your story!
