Principal's Message
On Monday through Wednesday, I joined five teachers at an IB Theory of Knowledge conference. TOK is one of our students' favorite courses they take in both their junior and senior year. This is a course where students "explore and reflect on the nature of knowledge and the process of knowing". There is a knowledge framework and students are asked to explain their thinking through its four elements. TOK is part of the IB's Core and extends to every subject area. Additionally, students have two assessments that are a required part of earning the IB Diploma. It was an incredibly helpful workshop session and our teachers are already implementing some of the new ideas they learned.
This afternoon the IABC held a schoolwide presentation on Strategies for Success: "Successful Resume Building and the Interviewing process". The presentation was led by , Rachna Chhaya & Garbriela Palacio, representatives from the human resources department of ZF Group. ZF is a large global technology company and supplies systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and industrial technology. We will share pictures and highlights in next week's newsletters!

Personal Project has been a great project based learning for students to pursue their creative passions and come up with amazing products like this one.
Therapy Dogs
Students loved the visit from the therapy dogs. There were 5 dogs that came to visit the IA on Tuesday. They were here for 1st lunch and 2nd lunch. In between, Mrs. Ramos, brought her literature class down for a brain break. The dogs were amazing and loved the attention from 200+ students.
