October 30 - November 3

Hey Wildcats!

Welcome to a new week. This week, we have Halloween and our Celebration of Learning at Camp Abnaki. Be sure to let us know if your family is coming! The event date is Friday, November 3, from 1:15-2:30. Kids are welcome to go home with their families at the end of the event.

As more families put information into the school directory form, linked below, I update our Google Sheet. Here is an updated link to our GIS Directory.

Trimester one is coming to an end, which is hard to believe. Teachers are putting grades in over the next week or so, and then it goes through an approval process. Report cards are electronically distributed through Alma, so please make sure you can access Alma. If you can't, I can reset your password.

In addition to the end of Trimester One, our family resources center will be available starting Monday, November 6! We have the 50 book challenge, various flashcards with games, and other fun resources for families to borrow. We will have a check-out system requiring you to scan a QR code and fill out a short Google Form when you check out materials. We're excited to bring these games and books to families!

Our Little Caesars Fundraiser is off to a great start. If you want to share the link with family and friends, please send them here: Pizza Kit Ordering. Our fundraiser ID is 433290. Our order will be placed on November 12 and arrive at school the week after Thanksgiving. All checks are made out to Grand Isle School.

Lastly, while we have seen a high percentage of staff illness, student illness is out there too. If your kiddo is not feeling well, has a fever, has vomited or had diarrhea within 24 hours, or has a persistent cough, please keep them home. We're heading into a busy time of year with lots of gatherings, and we expect student illness to creep up in numbers, but we can all do our part by staying home when we're not well.

As always, my door and inbox are always open,

Mrs. H

Medical Forms Medical Forms

If we are missing medical forms for your kiddo, we will mail a paper copy home. These forms need to be returned to school or we will not be able to allow your student to attend field trips. Once you receive the form, please send it back to school with your student.

Halloween Halloween

As a reminder, students can wear their costumes to school on Tuesday. Please do not send costume accessories such as weapons, things with gore, or parts of costumes that are very special, as we do not want anything to happen to them. Additionally, no face paint or masks will be allowed during the school day.
