Simonton Elementary School

Gwinnett County Public Schools is currently asking all families to choose which option they prefer for each of their school-aged children by completing a questionnaire that was emailed to parents on June 29th. This email was sent to the enrolling parent of the child(ren). If you are the enrolling parent of a GCPS student and did not receive the email with the link, please click this link to complete a Parent/Guardian Verification Form. Once you have been verified, the link to the questionnaire will be sent to you.

Parents are asked to complete the survey by Friday, July 10, 2020.

The Book Mobile will be visiting Simonton ES on Friday, July 10, 2020 from 1:00 - 5:00 pm. It will be parked in our front lane. All students who visit will take home 2 brand new books. Hope to see you all here!

It you would like to pick up your child's items from the end of the school year or their yearbook, please call the front office at 770-513-6637 to schedule a pick-up time.

Do you have a rising kindergarten student or know a friend or neighbor who does? Registration is open for students in grades K-5. Information about registration and the required documents can be found on our school website. Go to https://www.gcpsk12.org/SimontonES for more information.

The Gwinnett County Board of Education will hold a Special Called Meeting at 5 p.m. on Tues., July 7, 2020, at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center (437 Old Peachtree Road, NW, in Suwanee). The focus of the meeting will be the district’s plans for the opening of the 2020-2021 school year. This meeting may be viewed live online through the GCPS website at https://gcpsk12.org/virtualboardmeeting. The meeting link will not be live until 15 minutes before the start time.

Given ongoing concerns about COVID-19, GCPS will support its students in kindergarten through 8th grade participating in the school district’s Summer School program with the following selection of Priority Resources and Additional Resources. The resources (downloadable files and website links) are available over the summer to continue supporting learning for all K-12 students. These resources include a variety of engaging technology tools and hands-on activities for your child to complete alone or with your assistance.
