Good Morning GREEN Educational Partners,
We hope you had a fantastic time and your student feels rested, happy and refreshed to successfully complete the last trimester of this school year.
Here are some updates for this coming week:
-Mark your calendar. Friday, April 21, 2023, we have scheduled an early dismissal day, 1:00 pm. Families are informed via SMS notifications and Parent Square.
Please encourage your student to implement a good sleeping pattern to get a good night's sleep and wake up ready for school. Your student must be on time for school to attend the teachers' instructions at the beginning of the class and stay caught up in their learning and assignments.
-The front office will close on Friday, April 23, 2023, due to a collaborative and planning meeting. Please ensure you visit the office before closing time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
-E.O. Green is excited to present The Beauty and The Beast Musical, directed by Billie Xayaphone and GREEN Jr. High School Theatre Club Students. The show is entirely FREE. Mark your calendar. You and your family can see the performance on May 12 at 6:00 and May 13 at 2:00 and 6: 00 pm. It will occur at Oxnard College Performing Arts Building, 4000 Rose South Avenue, Oxnard, Ca 93033. Hope to see you all there!

SHINE 2023-2024
Parent Square Announcement
Enrollment in the Expanded Learning Day Program, SHINE (Students having innovative and novel enrichment experiences), for the 2023-2024 school year begins the week of April 24th. SHINE is the new program that unifies the former ASES Program and the enrichment classes offered this school year after school.
SHINE Enrollment packets for next year are available in the school office and with the site coordinator at each school. Participation in the expanded learning day program requires a new enrollment packet each year, as students currently enrolled in ASES do not automatically get enrolled to the next school year. Attendance for SHINE is based on the needs of each student and/or their families. Per AB 130, first priority is given to students who are English learners, foster youth and/or eligible for free or reduced-price meals and is based on available staff.
A confirmation letter will be mailed home in June to let you know if your student is enrolled to begin on the first day in the 2023-2024 school year or if they are on a waitlist.

Message From The Health Office:
The health office is a busy place. We have seen an increase in students coming to the health office that appear to be using the COVID protocols as a way to get out of class. Please talk with your student about not coming to the health office unless they are genuinely not feeling well. Also, COVID is still present and we are following the current Ventura County Public Health guidelines so please have a plan for who can pick up your student in case your student is sent home sick. Any COVID symptoms still require a negative COVID test result for the student to return to school. We want students in class as much as possible while looking out for your students' health and safety. Thank you for your help.

Stay Safe:

On June 30, 2022, The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) issued the COVID-19 Public Health Guidance for K–12 Schools to Support Safe In-Person Learning, 2022–2023 School Year.
COVID Symptom Reminder and Return to School Requirements
As a reminder, at no time is it acceptable to send students to school when they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, and especially if they have received a positive test result (laboratory based OR at-home test). Please make sure to report all positive cases to your students’ school.
Temperature Screening: Please screen your child at home each day for fever or symptoms and do not send your child to school if he/she is symptomatic or sick.
Students are to stay HOME if:
-If your student does not feel well, keep them home.
-If your student has any COVID-like symptoms, keep them home.
Home tests or antigen tests are now accepted
-Thank you for keeping our school community safe.
