This year's Cinco de Mayo celebration was outstanding! Thank you to Mr. Weatherston and Mrs. Leal for planning and organizing the event. We also want to thank all of the parents and staff who helped prepare and serve food yesterday! The celebration was like no other! Our last STAAR exam is next Tuesday. Parents of 3rd-5th grade students, please make sure that your children get plenty of rest on Monday and get a good breakfast Tuesday morning! Thank you!

Next week is teacher appreciation week! Feel free to send items of appreciation to school with your child. Wednesday, May 10th is also Nurse Appreciation Day and we are also celebrating our paraprofessionals!

Dear Dixie Family,

As our school is implementing a whole-school transformational process called the Leader in Me,

We will be conducting surveys to learn more about key areas of strength and areas of needed growth in our school. In order for us to have a holistic picture of what is going on in our school, we are asking all full-time staff members (teachers, para's, any full-time adult that interacts with our students), parents/guardians, and students in Grade 4 and up to participate.

You will be asked to complete a survey (without sharing your name or other identifying information) that will be available through the web link below.

Please complete the MRA by May 18th.
