Belleville High School
A Fresh Start!
Good afternoon, Belleville Families, this is week #1 of the 2nd semester. This is a FRESH START for students, and an opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in Semester 1. Of these, BEING ON TIME for classes is of major importance - with 1st hour being the greatest challenge for some. This is an important life skill that ALL students can and must master.
Parents and guardians, we ask that you work with your student(s) on managing their time - preparing the night before, if needed - so that they can arrive early enough to have plenty of time to get to their first class. Doors open at 6:45am. We’re looking forward to having a great Semester 2 - as we will be focusing on Achievement!
Student Drop Off/Pick-Ups: Families, please remember that morning drop off and afternoon pick up take place on the WEST side of the building where the Administration Building and Tennis Courts are, and NOT at the Main Entrance. We appreciate your cooperation, as this helps traffic flow properly.
Speaking of Achievement… We’re excited to begin implementing several academic supports this semester, which include academic advising, additional tutoring opportunities, and Homework lab! We will provide updates as this project unfolds. See below for more information on the Homework Lab.
The Belleville High School Building Leadership Team will be starting a pilot program during the second semester known as the Homework Lab. Details can be found in the preceding flyer. The Homework Lab will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays for an hour after school on school days and will be in the BHS Media Center. It will be a place where students can work on homework, collaborate on group projects, and/or complete tests/assessments they may have missed in their regular classes. Transportation is not currently provided and rides should be ready to pick up students by 3:10 pm. Main Entrance pick up IS available at this time.
Belleville Online School (BOS) Information:
Students and parents should have received an email from Edgenuity containing login information. Students and parents should have also received an email from Mrs. Isaac, BOS coordinator, outlining procedures and protocols for BOS. Please contact Mrs. Currie if your child is starting BOS for the second semester and did not receive an email from Edgenuity or Mrs. Isaac. Mrs. Currie can be reached at 734-697-9416.
Students will be able to view Edgenuity classes on Monday, January 24th.
Students will start classes on Tuesday, January 25th.
Each BOS student has been assigned a BHS mentor. The BHS Mentor will reach out to students and parents this week.
Please contact Mrs. Currie if you have any questions.

TO SUBMIT SENIOR PHOTOS:
While I recommend going to Focal Point for your senior photos, I can’t force you to use them. If you go to a different photographer, there are very specific directions that need to be followed. Please click here to read what directions both the photographer and your son/daughter need to follow. The head size and photo size and background are important, and so is how it is submitted. All those directions can be found on the yearbook page on the high school website. Please click here for directions on how to submit your senior photo if you didn’t go to Focal Point or Shannon’s.
If you go to Focal Point or Shannon’s Photography, you do NOT need to worry about the things I wrote in the paragraph above, as they will handle getting the senior photos to me in the correct format.
