We started with 60 eggs in incubators. For 21 days, students checked on their eggs to make sure the incubator was warm and humid. The ideal temperature is 100.5 degrees Fahrenheit and the humidity should be between 50-55%.
Each day they read about how their chick was developing. On days 20 & 21 chicks began to hatch. Students observed as the eggs began to "wiggle", how the babies pecked through the eggs, and watched as their feathers dried before being moved out of the incubators.
