Athletics update
Middle school students | Tuesday, January 10, 2023
A message from our Athletic Director, Melissa Lewis
Hello GLOBE middle school families,
I would like to begin by saying thank you for a great first half of the 2022-23 school year and share some of the wonderful things happening in GLOBE athletics.
The Athletic Club Committee has raised $10,853.59 so far. These funds directly boost our athletic department budget, allowing us to provide supplemental equipment, coaching, and programs to improve the athletics experience for all our students. Thank you for your continued support towards our $20,000 goal.
I am pleased to bring you some updates on our various sports, along with tentative dates for the upcoming spring season.
Swimming
Basketball
Boys basketball A team is 1-3 this season and looking to find the right combination. They have home games on January 18, 24 and 26. If you get a chance to come and show your support, we would love to see you there.
Boys basketball B team is undefeated with a record of 4-0. These young men are fun to watch and work well as a team. Come and watch them play.
Boys basketball C team is also undefeated (3-0). They play on Saturdays and have a few home games this month. Great job players and coaches.

Interested in taking part?
If you have a student in grades 6–8 who would like to participate in GLOBE athletics, please check out our website for information and details of the various sports that take place throughout the year.
Don't forget your sports physical!
A sports physical is required in order to tryout. If this is the first sport they will be playing at GLOBE, then you will need to get a physical completed and turned in. You may turn them in to the front office, the specific coach of the sport, Enrollease or the Athletic Department.
Please note, the physical is valid for one calendar year from the date of signature. If your student has already participated in a sport during the 2022-23 school year, their current physical on file will be acceptable.
Once again, thank you for all you do to support our student athletes. We are extremely proud of their efforts. Let's have a successful finish to the 2022-23 school year. Go GLOBE!
Sincerely,
Melissa Lewis
