MVLA Magazine
April 2022
Dear MVLA Community,
I hope this correspondence finds you well and you are enjoying this Spring Season. Spring is always one of the busiest times in MVLA, and we welcome the energy and activity. In Spring, we see our students growing before our eyes. Some are planning for college next year; some are preparing for their high school courses next fall, all while participating in the passages that come with the end of the year. If your students are looking for new ways to expand their interests or personal passions, our high schools are full of opportunities, from clubs to sporting events, to dances and the arts. We are fortunate to have various events to participate directly in or enjoy as a spectator this season.
Thank you to our families for always supporting our exemplary programs. There is so much that goes into our extracurricular activities behind the scenes, and we would not be so successful without your partnership. Coming back from a year like no other, we joyfully leave some of our technology behind, participate in the year-end traditions, and enjoy the sounds and celebrations of high school life. Students who participate, even minimally, in activities connected to their school experience less stress and more joy and report healthier lifestyles. Please participate in our latest Talk to Us Tuesday ThoughtExchange on well-being as we emphasize positive habits and balance.
As we finish the last months of the year, our teachers have worked very hard to provide carefully prepared content, instruction, and foundational support to prepare all students for the next level in their academic pathways. I have the good fortune of regularly visiting classrooms and seeing their excellence and commitment to your students. Their passion and dedication are unparalleled. Coming out of a challenging year, they have consistently adapted and created environments for student success.
Finally, please enjoy this edition of the MVLA Magazine. Your support of MVLA is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Nellie Meyer
