Ask your child...
- SS7 - Contrast and compare the treatment of women in the USA with parts of the Middle East.
- Science 6 - What kind of weather do we have on a low pressure day? How is it different than a high pressure day?
- Acc. Math 7 - How can you use angle relationships to determine unknown measurements?
- Science 7 - How are photosynthesis and cellular respiration connected?
- ELA 6 - Describe the text structure flow chart that was used during library this week to help determine the type of text structure of a passage. Can you give clue words for any of the text structures?
ELA 7 - How do you analyze a poem or song lyrics?
Math 6 - What are some characteristics of good data displays?
Math 7 - Explain what a "profit" is.
Band - How many scales do you know how to play? Can you play them memorized? Show me.

It's Time to Talk "Transition"
For our future 8th graders, here is a list of what will be happening this month and next:
January 23rd - 27th: Future 8th grade students/parents will access "Future 8th Grade Transition" slide show (linked here)
- January 23rd: Central will visit Hellstern students @ Hellstern to highlight the Central experience and provide registration forms with course offerings
- January 31st: CJHS Open House from 5-6:30; Open House: Tables will be set out for parents/students to visit to get information on classes including electives. This will include tables for Fine Arts, Athletics, electives.
- February 6th - 10th: Future CJH students will enter classes into Home Access Center (HAC) *2/6- Champions 2/7- Explorers 2/9- Patriots & 2/10- Make-up
- March 6th & 7th Hellstern Conferences : Final parent/student sign-off of 2023-24 schedule

Tuesday, February 7th: Co-Parenting Across Separations and Generations
