UIL

• UIL Competition will be February 26th and 27th & March 4th and 5th
• Students must wear their orchestra uniforms

Former orchestra members attended January's Alumni Social to reunite with friends and teachers from Liberty Orchestra over coffee!

At this month's 7 Leaves Fundraiser, students enjoyed some delicious boba while hanging out with friends, supporting the orchestra, and earning pod points!

In Liberty's first ever Fine Arts Multicultural Potluck, orchestra members collaborated with band and choir students to share their very own cultural dishes! Students tried a variety of foods while socializing with their Fine Arts friends!

Orchestra students have been working hard this month in order to prepare for UIL at the end of February and the beginning of March. Students have attended sectionals and continued practicing at home as we get closer to this year's UIL Competition!

This month, multiple orchestra members competed in 2024's District Career Development Conference! Congratulations to everyone who competed, we're super proud of you! Listed below are the orchestra members who qualified for State CDC:

Congratulations to ALL of our students who participated in UIL Solo/Ensemble this past Saturday at Centennial High School. Everyone was so well-prepared and performed beautifully. There were 36 superior ratings awarded for both solos and ensembles! Additionally, the following students were certified for Texas State Solo/Ensemble in May by performing a Class 1 Solo, memorizing it, and receiving a Superior rating:

Did you try any foods that you'd never had before?

I tried to take food that I've already had before or that I knew I liked, but I did try a new drink called Horchata.

What was your favorite dish?

My favorite dish was either the noodles or the fried rice.

Did you like having a social in collaboration with Band and Choir?

I liked that the social was a combination of all band, orchestra, and choir because it allowed more food to be brought other than just orchestra. It also allowed me to see more of my friends who are in other fine arts programs.
