PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
This past week at school we have been celebrating Earth Week! Our Eco Eagles Club members, led by Ms. Potter and Ms. Schwirtz, created “seed paper” for all the students and staff within our school. Each class took some time this week to go out to our raised garden beds in the back of the building and plant their seed paper. Throughout the summer, beautiful wildflowers will bloom in these beds, providing valuable habitat and ecosystems for a variety of pollinators and other critters. They're also a beautiful sight for our whole community to enjoy.
In addition, our Eco Eagles have led the charge in collecting reusable silverware to bolster our collection in the cafeteria. The Eco Eagle students have made signs to advertise the food drive, and have been regular contributors to our morning announcements, encouraging their peers and classmates to participate and teaching us about the benefits of reusing versus buying new. By reusing items that we have collected from our community we have saved money and the earth’s resources - a valuable lesson for us all!
It’s these types of leadership and service activities that make Eagle Crest special. Like our motto says, We are Leaders, We help build a better world!
I hope you have a great weekend!
Warmly,
Amanda

DEAN OF STUDENTS' MESSAGE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
As we move further into spring here in Colorado, it's no secret that the weather can be quite unpredictable. One day it can be warm and sunny, and the next day we could be hit with a surprise snowstorm. This ever-changing weather creates the challenge of dressing appropriately and not leaving any belongings behind. That's why we want to remind everyone to check our Lost and Found for any misplaced items. Families are always welcome to come to the front of the school to check the Lost and Found, but, tomorrow (Friday),we will place the Lost and Found cart outside in front of the school during arrival and dismissal for easier access. Hopefully we can get some of your belongings back to you sooner than later!
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney
Dean of Students

2023-2024 CLASS PLACEMENT - DEADLINE TOMORROW
At Eagle Crest, we very much value the support and partnership from families as we work together to provide a thoughtful and well-rounded education in every classroom, every day. When creating classes, staff take into account the academic, social, and behavioral strengths and needs of each student, as well as creating balanced classroom communities. We would like to ask families for your thoughts related to your child's strengths and needs in regards to their learning as we determine class placements for next school year. We welcome your insight and knowledge as we consider optimal placement. Like last year, this year we will be collecting family input on the optional survey linked below. This survey will remain open until April 21st.

KODY'S TOYBOX
CAMPUS SUPERVISOR
The safety of our school environments has always been a top priority in St. Vrain Valley Schools. As the district continues to invest in security upgrades, mental health resources, counselors, and other supports to ensure the well-being and success of our students, we are excited to share that a new Campus Supervisor position will be provided to all elementary schools in the district.
Currently at all middle and high schools in St. Vrain, Campus Supervisors promote safe and secure learning environments for students by providing an additional layer of facility monitoring, oversight, and communication regarding any potential risks or safety concerns. These roles also play an important part in fostering a positive building environment by building relationships with students and serving as another trusted adult in the building.
If you or someone you know is interested in applying to be Eagle Crest’s Campus Supervisor, a job description and application can be accessed here: https://www.applitrack.com/stvrain/onlineapp/default.aspx?Category=Security.

ADD MONEY TO YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL BREAKFAST & LUNCH ACCOUNT
MySchoolBucks is the website you want to access in order to add funds to your child’s account for purchasing breakfast, lunch, or milk at school.
