EOC Dates
End of Course (EOC) dates are quickly approaching. We ask that parents be mindful of these dates when scheduling absences for students, and avoid scheduling absences on these dates.
English I- April 18th
English II- April 19th
Biology - May 2nd
US History - May 3rd
Algebra I - May 10th
ID Badges Needed for Food Services
Food services has replaced keypads with a badge scanning system to pay for cafeteria food. Students will only be able to purchase food by scanning their school issued ID badge. If students have lost their ID badge they will be able purchase a replacement prior to going through the cafeteria line. The scanning system will not prevent any student from eating in the cafeteria who wishes to eat food purchased from the cafeteria.
Herff Jones Ring Ceremony
Recently, LCHS students were able to participate in the Herff Jones Ring Ceremony. Students were presented with their class rings and family members were able to attend and celebrate with them. If you ordered a class ring with Herff Jones and were not able to attend, they are available to pick up at the Herff Jones office.
Men's Wearhouse Cash for Schools Program
When students rent or buy their Prom look at any Men’s Wearhouse or Jos. A. Bank location, they’ll help your school raise money with our new Cash For Schools program.

Once registered, you’re able to qualify for the following:
25-49 Prom Outfits = $500
50-74 Prom Outfits = $1,000
75-99 Prom Outfits = $1,500
100+ Prom Outfits = $2,000
Each transaction must be for prom and $125+ (before taxes/fees) to qualify.
NHS Candidate Information
Students that have applied for membership into the National Honor Society need to check the 2023 NHS Candidate Google Classroom for selection status. More information will follow for newly selected members. All questions and concerns should be directed to satcheson@lcisd.net.

LCHS Students Attend SAT Bootcamp
The 150 students who signed up for the SAT Bootcamp were able to prepare for the upcoming SAT scheduled for Wednesday, March 22nd. They were able to learn SAT test taking strategies and how to manage their testing time. They learned acronyms that help them retain the test taking strategies, and how to best approach questions they don't know the answers to in order to figure out the correct answer.

Prom 2023
There will be a prom contract meeting for juniors and seniors on the morning of Monday, March 20th.
Prom tickets will go on sale Tuesday, March 21st and are available during lunches only, not before or after school.
Tickets are free for seniors who attend LCHS. All other tickets are $50! Last day of ticket sales is Friday, March 31.
CTE Spotlight - Networking
In Networking students learn the basics of computer networking! With topics such as wireless networking, making ethernet cables, and network configuration, students will be able to gain a better understanding of how their computers and other devices communicate online. By the end of the year, they will have the knowledge and skills to be able to configure network settings and troubleshoot any network connectivity issues they may encounter. This knowledge will provide students with the ability to remain up-to-date with the ever-changing technology of our digital world.

TTUHSC Future Healthcare Professionals' Experience - March 25
This event is geared towards high school students, college transfers and the general public. Representatives from all 6 of our schools (Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, School of Health Professions, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy and the School of Population and Public Health) will provide informational workshops and activities for the students. We would like to invite you and your students. If you don’t mind, please pass the attached flyer out to your students and post around your schools. How to Report a Student Absence
What if the absence is COVID related?
After submitting an absence in Skyward and indicating that it is Covid related in the comments box, you will receive an email with a Google Form link. Parents must fill out the Google Form and supply evidence of the Covid related absence to ensure that the absence will not count against semester exam exemptions.
