COOL EXPERIENCES

Leander ISD is excited to offer COOL Experiences, a variety of platforms to engage students with potential career pathways! COOL Experiences seeks to EXPLORE // CONNECT // and INSPIRE students in regards to their career paths.

Interested in a career in law enforcement? Apply to take part in the Jonestown Police Department summer COOL Experience. Note, this is not a ride-along program, but instead geared to show students the various opportunities within law enforcement. This is a great fit for students seeking to further their education in the field of local, state, or federal law enforcement and forensics.

The experience is set to take place in-person over four days: June 7, 8, 14, & 18. Students must apply as this is a selective opportunity, limited to only 6 rising seniors (current LISD juniors).

Requirements, if selected:

• Be 17 years or older
• Be able to commit to all four days, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Must provide own transportation to/from Jonestown PD (18304 N. Park Drive in Jonestown, TX)
• Must sign non-disclosure agreement & liability waiver
