Announcements & Updates

- Attention parents: If your child is currently dismissing at 1:00 but now wishes to stay for the full day (3:15 dismissal), please contact Mrs. Toth to request a schedule change.


- Marking period 3 grades will be posted to the Parent Portal this afternoon.


- Important dates for 8th grade parents:

  • 8th grade picnic: June 7 (rain date 6/8) at Borough Park
  • Promotion: June 14, 5:30 p.m. at Mountain View (time and location tentative)


- 7th grade parents: The deadline to request Related Arts courses for the 21-22 school year is today. Please check your email for details and instructions from Mrs. Toth, sent on Monday, April 12. Students who do not make their selections will have a hold placed on their marking period 4 report card.


- 6th grade parents: The Parent Portal will open for Related Arts course requests on Monday. An email with additional details and instructions is forthcoming.


- Pomptonian is offering daily hot lunch for students. Parents can now order daily (prior to 8:00 a.m.), select specific days, or purchase for the entire week, all from the same form. Please click here to order.


- Congratulations to the following home bases for having the highest participation in the HSA fundraiser campaign: Ms. Decker, Mr. Ward, Ms. Stiner. The total raised was $15,230.


- Under the direction of Mrs. Carpenter and Mr. McMurray, Mountain View Band and Orchestra students have taken on the challenge of learning their instruments this year with, passion, versatility, and determination. A note from Mrs. Lanka

Today, Mountain View celebrated Autism Awareness Month! In Advisory, students watched 2 videos to help them better understand what it feels like to have Autism, and how they can demonstrate kindness and empathy for those affected by it. Check out one of the videos HERE, which can help us all walk in the shoes of a boy with Autism as he enters a mall with his mother. As you continue this conversation at home, ask your child why it's important to better understand Autism, and what they can do to advocate for those impacted by it in our community.
