What to expect this week.
- Front doors will open at 7:15am. First bell rings at 8:15am. when students arrive on campus, they will go to the Gym, until they are released to class.
- Students who arrive after the 8:15am bell, will receive a Tardy. Unless they have arrived to school on a late bus.
- April 26th - PTO Meeting at 6pm - Leaman
- April 28th - Fulshear Storm - Chargers in Motion 7pm @ Fulshear HS
- April 29th - Student vs Faculty Dodgeball Game

The student of the week is Maximiliano Brito nominated by Mrs. Mathews.
Citizenship
Max is ready to learn and thorough and conscientious about his work. He also helps a student transcribe his work when the other student is unable to write. He does this without being asked. – Terri Mathews

GO-O Student of the Week
The Student of the Week is Mayesun Green nominated by Mrs. Pruitt.
"Mayesun works hard in Math and has a good attitude. When a particular skill seems daunting, he works through it until it makes sense to him. I'm so proud of his hard work!"
P-Z Student of the Week
The Student of the Week is Ayanna Richardson nominated by the Mrs. Veazie.
"I am nominating Ayanna for student of the week, month, century! Ayanna is quiet and can easily be overlooked. However, she is a student that works hard, pays attention to detail, and she is diligent in completing all assignments on time. She is persistent when faced with challenges and takes learning seriously. She is effortlessly kind toward peers and teachers, which explains while she works well with everyone."
Join us at Fulshear High School auditorium for the Spring Show. The show will have all dance students from 6th-12th grade as well as a guest performance from our high school Color Guard.

Attention 7th graders: Now is the time to register for the 2023 Washington DC and New York City Trip!
Attention 7th graders: Now is the time to register for the 2023 Washington DC and New York City Trip! The dates of the trip will be March 10-14, 2023.
Don’t miss this trip of a lifetime. We will visit Times Square, Central Park, see a Broadway show and an NBA game, the Smithsonian Museums, the White House, and so much more! We will even eat some of the best New York Pizza! Please see the attached trip registration sheet for more information. If you have any questions, please see Coach Walters. Attention Parents and Students interested in going on the 2023 New York City and Washington DC trip: There are only 24 spots remaining for the trip. If you want to guarantee a spot on the trip, make sure you register soon! Students who register after these 24 spots will be added to the wait list. If more space becomes available, students on the waitlist will be added to the trip roster.

•Think for a moment about the amazing staff at Leaman. Who is working hard for students? Nominate a teacher or staff member that you would like to recognize for their hard work in the Be the One survey.
•Each week the results will be gathered. They will then be shared with staff members during Tuesday department meetings or Wednesday staff meetings.

Leaman Junior High School is sharing the below information about the district and your child’s campus with you as part of its obligations under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA).
Federal Report Cards for the state, the district, and each of the district’s campuses are now available on the district’s website at this link: https://www.lcisd.org/departments/academics/raa/performance-reports-and-legal-postings or are also available on the Texas Education Agency’s website at: https://tea.texas.gov/finance-and-grants/grants/essa-program/federal-report-card. A detailed description of these reports is enclosed.
If you have difficulty accessing the information from the website, hard copies of the reports can be requested from the district or campus office.
