Great things are happening at WCS!
As a community, we have raised over $4,400 for the WCS PTA! The classroom leaders are Mrs. Vise, Mrs. Keefe and Ms. Sinclair- but Ms. Tracy, Ms. Lynch and Ms. Jerome are close behind them! When we reach $5,000 in donations, Mr. Libby will serve lunches to all grades! When we reach the goal of $10,000, Mr. Libby will spend the day working on the roof of the school!

WCS PTA
We will be hosting our monthly PTA meeting on October 12th at 6:00PM in the media room in the back of the WCS library. Please join us as we finish up planning and prep for our Get Glowing Fun Run!
There is still plenty of time to raise money for the Get Glowing Fun Run! Sign up is quick and easy at https://app.99pledges.com/fund/woolwichPTA/addme, and this year we have added an adult run! The top earner and the winner of the adult fun run will each receive a VIP pass that will get you a front of the line spot in the drop off or pick up car lines! Cash or check donations can be sent in to school in an envelope labeled with your child’s name and homeroom teacher!
We are also still looking for classroom sponsors! If you own a business, would like to support your child’s classroom goal, and want some extra publicity- please contact us at mywcspta@gmail.com for a sponsorship form. Sponsorship of a classroom is $100, and you will receive a certificate on the door of your chosen classroom, as well as a personalized social media post advertising your business. If you would like to be a Gold Sponsor for $250, you will still sponsor a classroom and get a social media post, but will also receive extra advertising on our social media and flyers- as well as helping your child’s classroom earn extra recess, PE or a popcorn party for their class!
8th GRADE WASHINGTON D.C. TRIP
SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT
As you may know, WCS is not able to accept the drop off of bottles and cans at this time. We have started a CLYNK account at Hannaford, and are happy to provide green bags and stickers to anyone who would like to donate their returnables to the 8th grade trip. Just stop by the school office to pick up one of our CLYNK bags with the WCS bar code sticker, fill it full of bottles & cans and then drop it off at any Hannaford CLYNK redemption center (CLICK HERE for the list of locations!)
5th Grade is wrapping up their section on Gary Paulsen's book, Hatchet. Students will reflect on the reading through a final project of their choice; a calendar, a diorama or a physical representation of the lessons that the main character learned. This section resonates with students and is often referenced throughout the school year in other areas of study.
Middle School boys and girls soccer has ended another successful season! Thank you to all of the players, and the families who came out to support our teams! This season we saw incredible growth of player skills, and were impressed by the unity of the teams as a whole. Great job Wildcats!!
