Dear 6th Grade Parents,
Welcome to Henry Middle School! Tomorrow, August 10, 2023 is our 6th Grade Open House! We are looking forward to meeting our incoming class of 6th graders and their families.
Open House starts at 6:00 p.m. and will consist of three rotations. Your starting location will depend on your child’s Academic Team which is determined by your child's science teacher:
- Team H (Huddleston): Cafeteria
- Team M (Carner): Competition Gym
- Team S (McConnell): Walk your child’s schedule
Schedules were distributed to students who attended Hawk Camp on August 2nd and 3rd. If your student was unable to attend Hawk Camp, you may get a copy of their schedule from the counseling office at Open House. Please bring your child’s schedule to Open House.
During Open House, you will hear from Dr. Ellis, tour the school, and meet your child’s teachers. Additionally, during Open House, students will be able to explore our library and check out a book!
If your child is scheduled for either the Band or Choir elective, please plan to attend a meeting with the Directors at 5:00 p.m. Band will meet in the cafeteria, and Choir will meet in the Competition Gym.
We look forward to seeing everyone on August 10th to kick off the new school year!
