Dear Mabel Rush Families,
Our teachers have been busy working with other Newberg district teacher to prepare lessons and activities for the start of our Distance Learning. Today was our start to Distance Learning and it has been exciting to follow along online as students worked on assignments and teachers provided feedback and guidance. We want to make sure that all of our students are taking part and do not want lack of technology to get in the way of student learning. If you need technology assistance, please see the information just below to learn how you can get connected.
Technology Needs
To facilitate accessing the lessons, we encourage students to use a computer or a district Chromebook. We know some students and families might need a device and/or internet access at their home. If you would like to request to borrow a device and/or need internet access, you can request it with this form. Please assist others who may need this and can’t see online communication, offering to fill out the form for them if they don’t have a way to do so.

Accessing Distance Learning Lessons
Students can access the resources from a web browser on a computer, or from a district Chromebook. They will need to login with their Newberg School District account USERID and PASSWORD. If you do not have this information, please contact the school office and office staff will provide you that information.

How will my students access their lessons?
Students in grades K, 1, & 2 will use the SeeSaw tool to access class information including daily lessons and activities.
Students in Grades 3 - 5 will be using Google Classroom to access class information including daily lessons and activities.
Both of these tools can be accessed from the student portal page, which is the first page students see when they login.
Friday food boxes will be distributed on Fridays at the same time as the grab and go food sacks, at Mabel Rush from 10:30 to 11:30am.
If You Need Assistance Please Let Us Know
Please know that we are ready to assist you in other ways as well. We are currently converting the office phone voicemails to emails so that we can continue to provide assistance. Monica Skaggs has been assigned a new phone number to contact families directly and she may be reaching out to you to offer assistance. Spanish speaking families can utilize the Spanish number to make contact with Sarah Whyte.
