Great 8 Skills at Home
No Place for Hate
The play is about a ten year old Oskar who loves his new shoes! They belong in a museum of GREATNESS or at least they did until Frank stepped on them. If apologies had happened right then and there, this playground mishap would not have escalated into a wild adventure illustrating the roles of a Victim, Bully, Bystander, and Upstander. This play was developed by award-winning theatre artists to help students understand the multiple perspectives involved in an escalating incident of bullying.
Red Ribbon Week
The Red Ribbon became a symbol for drug prevention in 1985, in response to the murder of DEA Special Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena. Informed Families started the first county-wide Red Ribbon campaign in 1986. In 1988, NFP sponsored the first National Red Ribbon Week® celebration. Today, the Red Ribbon serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities. Since that time, the campaign has reached millions of U.S. children and families.
