Happy New Year and Welcome 2022...
This week saw a return to play for our Winter Sports teams and it was exciting to see a big home win for our Girl's Basketball team on Wednesday! It was great to have our cheerleaders performing for the game as well! In the coming weeks our Robotics team will have its yearly competition in the First Lego League Challenge. Its exciting to see our students pursuing their interests!!
The 2022 Hang Tough Topton Challenge is under way and we are excited to have approximately 60 students and families participating in this year's event! At the conclusion of week 1 or families have broke a sweat to cardio and body weight exercises and today's snow factored in some full body shovel swings!!

Freshman Scheduling Night for current 8th Grade Families-January 18th @ 6PM
I wanted to first take this early opportunity to let you know how excited I am to have your students join us as incoming Ninth Grade students here at Brandywine Heights High School next Fall. I also would like to invite you to our Freshman Scheduling Night Presentation on Tuesday, January 18th from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. in the High School Auditorium.
During this time, we will be explaining to our families the scheduling process for our incoming Freshman as they select courses for next year, as well as giving some of our incredible teachers and staff the opportunity to share with you some of what they do in the wide variety of programs that we offer in some of our different academic departments. We will also discuss current local and State graduation requirements as our students progress through high school.
During school on the same day, our guidance staff and administration are presenting the same information to students at the Middle School before they leave, but this is an opportunity for all of our families to see together how course selection is structured and to gather any more information they may need as we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year. Our scheduling process is an important part of setting up our new Ninth Grade students for success as they enter our High School, and in a smaller school, an integral part of ensuring our students are aligned to any pathway they would choose to succeed after they graduate. We hope that you can attend. Attached below is a link to our High School Program of Studies, which is the catalog that our students use to select courses for their upcoming year. Please feel free to look it over to see all of the great offerings that we have available for your student.
Thank you again, and please contact our guidance department or myself if you need anything at all.
Sincerely,
Matthew J. Dziunycz
