The last SNAC meeting of the year will take place on Thursday, June 6th, at 10:00 a.m. in the Multipurpose Room. All current and future parents are welcome to attend. We will discuss current successes and future plans to expand the Exceptional Children's department.

If you are a future parent and have a child with an IEP or 504 plan, please forward these documents to the school as soon as possible to assist us in planning and with transition meetings over the summer for your child.

On Tuesday, students in Third and Fourth Grades will take the End of Grade English Language Arts exam. On Wednesday they will take the Math EOG. These are state mandated exams for every public school in North Carolina.

Please ensure that your student is well-rested and has eaten a nutritious breakfast (as always). Students who arrive late (after 9:40 a.m.) will not be admitted into the exams and will need to take a make-up exam on another day. (They will wait in another room until the exams are over before being admitted into the classroom.)

EOG make-up exams will take place on Thursday, June 6th and Friday, June 7th. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring your students are present and on time during the exams.

The school has ordered bulk supplies for parents who would like to take advantage of a 20% discount. Look for a future issue of "In a Nutshell" to order Waldorf supplies such as wax crayons, paintbrushes, beeswax and more! Orders will be filled before school starts.

Teachers will update their supply lists over the summer.

LOST AND FOUND: During the last week of school a table will be set up in the multipurpose room with lost and found itemsfor parents and kids to look through before we donate them.

YEARBOOKS: We were so excited to get the delivery of pre-ordered books; however, some were incorrect. The people whose books were incorrect have been contacted and they will get a new copy as soon as possible.

You can still order a yearbook! Order direct from our shop to have your copy printed and shipped to you. The cost is $25 + tax/shipping, hard cover optional +$6.95.

• June 11th - Goodberrys Family Night out fundraiser from 3:15pm to 11pm

On Sunday, June 9th, we will be at Blue Jay Pointe Park (Address is 3200 Pleasant Union Church Rd, Raleigh, NC 27614) at 1pm for an end of year play celebration. People can bring their own lunch and snacks, water bottles and blankets - there are picnic tables that are first come first serve. There is a playground, natural play space and the lake for fishing and trails. We are not renting any space but meeting at the playground to celebrate the wonderful first year at ROCS!!!

The ROCS Annual Giving Campaign is an ongoing fundraiser for the school's operating expenses. Charter schools must pay for facilities and operating expenses whereas traditional public schools do not. You may donate directly to the school by contacting support@chartersuccesspartners.com.
