What is MOTI?
The Metro Omaha Trades Invitational is an event for high school and college students to showcase their talents in front of local business and industry in a specific career field. This is a great opportunity for students to speak with industry partners about future careers while gaining competition experience for the SkillsUSA Nebraska State and Leadership Conference in April 2024.
Details of the day
The Metro Omaha Trades Invitational will be held at three of MCC Campus', The Applied Technology Center (ATC), Fort Omaha Campus (FOC), South Omaha Campus (SOC) and at the newly renovated Mastercraft Building downtown. Students need to arrive during their designated check-in time at the proper location as they vary by contest. Information can be found in the event schedule and in the contest guidelines below. At check-in students will receive a name badge, conference t-shirt and schedule.
Contests are in progress from 730AM-12PM at the three campus' and Mastercraft building downtown. Following the conclusion of the morning trade competitions, students will relocate to The South Campus between 1-2PM, in the Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) building for Lunch, and an Industry Meet & Greet with local businesses and event sponsors followed by the awards session, promptly at 2PM.
