February 20, 2024
Dear Oak Grove Families,
I’m hopeful that you have noticed some things changing at Oak Grove School District! We have made new efforts to enhance our communications and connections with you.
From the updated look and feel of this Weekly News to our social media pages, this is just the beginning. We’ve always appreciated your partnership with us, and we want to make it easier for you to feel informed and connected with what is happening in our school and district.
Coming soon: a postcard in your mailbox about the upcoming School Board strategic plan process, followed by our new and improved newsletter. These will be shared with all residents in our community. We all play a role in supporting the students and staff in our district, and we are looking forward to sharing important information in a more timely manner.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education. We look forward to connecting and communicating with you more this year! Please feel free to share your feedback with us as we look to improve.
Sincerely,
Allison

Growth Mindset
February begins our Growth Mindset unit. Someone with a growth mindset views intelligence, abilities, and talents as learnable and capable of improvement through effort. On the other hand, someone with a fixed mindset views those same traits as inherently stable and unchangeable over time. This month students will participate in activities, games and lessons that focus on growth mindset.
