Fall Conferences are November 2 & 3
Believe it or not, fall conferences are right around the corner!
- Friday, October 27 is a non-student day as our teachers prepare for conferences.
- Thursday, November 2 and Friday, November 3 are student-led parent/teacher conferences (no school).
Your school and child's teacher(s) will be reaching out to you with details and sign-ups for conferences.
Coming soon: Stopfinder!
Stopfinder is a mobile device app that provides you quick and easy access to your student’s transportation schedule, announcements, and more. Stopfinder works with the Bremerton School District transportation software to provide you the most accurate schedule information and updates as quickly as possible. With Stopfinder you can:
- View your student’s schedule from your mobile device.
- Share student schedules with caregivers and family members.
- Get announcements and notifications about your child's bus routes.
Important: Stopfinder is secure and only for registered users. Parents can only access route information for their students UNLESS another parent or family member shares Stopfinder information with them.
Coming soon: Watch your email in the coming weeks for a Stopfinder invitation and visit the App Store or Google Play to download Stopfinder.
Have you completed your ABCs?
This is a friendly reminder to complete your Annual Back-to-school Check-in process or ABCs. It should take about 15 minutes (or less!) to complete the process for each child in your household.
The ABC process must be completed for all students in the district - including both previously enrolled as well as newly registered students.
Please log-in to Skyward and take a few moments to complete this important process for your student(s) ASAP. Thank you!
Questions about this process? Need help with your Skyward log-in? Please contact your student's school or click here.
Bremerton Special Education Parent Collective (SEP-C)
The mission for the Bremerton Special Education Parent Collective is to encourage honest and effective communication, understanding, and mutual respect in a supportive partnership inclusive of all students, parents, educators, and the community at large in an effort to ensure the delivery of appropriate services to students with disabilities.
All families in the District are invited to attend SEP-C monthly meetings.
When: 3rd Wednesday of each month, 5:30 - 6:45 p.m.
Where: Bremerton High School, Career Center (look for signs)
Who: Parents of special education students in Bremerton School District
What: We will be focusing on resources in the community and transition services for special education students. All parents are welcome to attend to share ideas and positive ways to support and enhance our students’ educational experiences. Speakers for the school year may include the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, Developmental Disabilities Administration, Department of Motor Vehicles and other organizations providing support and resources in Kitsap County.
Please share this information with families who might be interested! Learn more at www.BremertonSchools.org/SEP-C
Coming soon: The annual Federal Impact Aid survey
Every year the Bremerton School District must apply for Federal Impact Aid funds from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds compensate the District for the loss of local tax dollars from tax exempt federal property in the Bremerton area.
All families in the District will receive an email on October 16 inviting them to complete the surveys for each student enrolled in the Bremerton School District. It is important to complete all appropriate sections and electronically sign and date the form. Each electronic survey will list all of the siblings in a student's primary family. Only one form is required for each family.
Thank you for your support!

This month we are celebrating...
#ThankAPrincipal
October marks the celebration of a special group of leaders in our school community – our school principals and assistant principals. These dedicated individuals play a pivotal role in shaping our students’ futures and the trajectory of our education system.
This month-long celebration is an opportunity to recognize and thank our principals for their unwavering dedication, exceptional leadership, and remarkable impact on student success.
We encourage you to join us, and educational organizations nationwide as we acknowledge the tireless efforts of these unsung heroes. Share your appreciation using the hashtag #ThankAPrincipal on social media, or take a moment to send an e-card or email to your child's principal or assistant principal this month! District emails are First.Last@BremertonSchools.org. Or you can send an email to Communications@BremertonSchools.org with the name in the subject line and we will forward it for you!
Let’s come together to celebrate the extraordinary individuals at the helm of our schools and the difference they make every day transforming our communities.
Bonds and levies: essential funding for schools
There are three types of local funding measures that our district typically relies on to support our students and schools including:
- Education, Programs & Operation (EP&O levy)
- Capital Projects levy
- Bonds
Our current EP&O levy, approved in 2020 by voters, funds 15 percent of our total budget. This levy expires at the end of next year. Our last capital projects levy is funding the new school and community multi-use sports complex at Mountain View Middle School. Learn more about bonds and levies, we invite you to watch this short video or click here.

In an effort to ensure that all of our students have timely, affordable access to mental and physical healthcare, we are partnering with a health services program called Hazel Health.
With parent or guardian permission, students can speak with a Hazel mental health professional or have an on-demand medical visit at home or at school. We invite you to learn more here!
