Here's what's happening @ Schnell Elementary School this Month:😀
Dear Schnell Families,
We are fully entering the fall weather, where the beautiful rain is coming our way. Fall is such a lovely time observing the change in color leaves from green to yellow, orange, and burgundy. Squirrels and Bears make their home to hibernate for the winter while some birds migrate south to warmer weather. The green grass becomes dormant for the fall and winter until springtime.
At Schnell, we are nearing the end of Trimester I, which is November 5th. November is somewhat short due to the Thanksgiving break, which is from November 22nd to November 26th. There is no school on November 11th as it is Veteran's Day and November 12th due to teachers' professional development.
Have a Wonderful Month of October and Enjoy the Fall Weather!!!!

What's happening in Physical Education at Schnell School?
It is wonderful to see the leaves changing colors. With this colder weather has arrived. Parents please make sure students have a jacket, water bottle, and closed toed shoes for PE days.
This week students used plastic Frisbees and practiced tossing them for accuracy. Students continue to build strength through Skilltastic exercises and stretches. Students have been enjoying parachute activities, capture the flag, and freezer. Students also are learning the difference between skipping and trotting and also crab walk and grapevine.
Enjoying Ever Moment,

California State Park - Adventure Pass
Dear Parent/Guardian,
As a parent/guardian of a fourth grader, we are happy to share a free opportunity for your family to enjoy the physical and mental benefits of connecting with the outdoors.
Championed by First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom and supported by the Natural Resources Agency and California State Parks, the state’s new California State Park Adventure Pass Program waives day-use entrance fees to 19 state parks for fourth graders and their families for a full year—including the summer. The list of selected park units encompasses a collection of features and recreational opportunities, including beaches, museums, redwoods, off-highway vehicle recreation, hiking trails and important cultural history.
“The California State Park Adventure Pass is an incredible new program that will help promote a healthier, more equitable California for all—a California where every child has the opportunity to explore, learn and benefit from our state’s natural wonders,” said First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom.
Applying for the free pass online is simple. All that is needed is a name, address, phone number and an email address. For individuals who do not have access to a smartphone, computer or printer, and/or do not have an email address to use when applying online, they can still apply for a pass by visiting a State Parks Pass Sales Office—click here for a list of locations—or by calling (800) 444-7275. For detailed information on the program and the list of participating park units, please visit parks.ca.gov/AdventurePass.
The State of California believes in the right of all Californians to have access to recreational opportunities and enjoy the cultural, historic and natural resources found across the state. We invite you to participate in the California State Park Adventure Pass Program and to share your experiences with your family, friends and community.
