ELD CPD Instructor Updates
January 15, 2025
Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a chance to relax and recharge during the break—it always seems to fly by too quickly!
I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your incredible dedication. Whether you’ve given up your Saturday mornings, weeknight evenings, or both to teach, your commitment does not go unnoticed. I truly believe we have the best, most devoted CPD instructor team in the county.
Your patience with participants who may be less tech-savvy and your ability to keep everyone engaged after their own long days are nothing short of remarkable. The successes of our program are a direct result of your hard work, perseverance, and passion for teaching.
Thank you for all that you do!

Chronic Issue: Last Minute Drops
The recent surge in last-minute drops and no-shows has been incredibly frustrating. Are they actually getting worse, or does it just feel that way?
To tackle this issue, I’m hosting an open Zoom meeting on Tuesday. If you have ideas, suggestions, or just need a space to share your thoughts, I’d love for you to join the conversation anytime between 4:15 and 5:15.
Please RSVP using the link below. Your input is invaluable, and together we can work toward a solution.

🔎 Review Dates in eDoctrina & Quarter 3 Catalog
For those of you who are teaching during spring I and/or spring II, please double check your course dates in the quarter 3 catalog AND in eDoctrina. Maggie and Jane noticed their upcoming course dates were incorrect in eDoctrina. OPLL was easily able to fix them, but we want to ensure to people are committing to be available for the correct dates.
Waitlist
Please delete everyone on the waitlist after the first class. Being on the waitlist for a course, even if it's over, can prevent someone for registering for a later session of that same course. Many of you do this already - thank you!
Excused Absences
Nicole Wall and Barbara Pometto in OPLL are the points of contact for excused absence requests. They did allow two excused absences in November, but they were exceptional requests.
If you have someone advocating for an excused absence, please reach out to them and copy me on the email. Thanks!
Canvas
Please remember to add me as a teacher to your Canvas courses. 🙃
Zoom Links
Don't forget to add your Zoom link to your course information in eDoctrina.
