Special Olympics
Ms. Margo Brandt's class participated in the Special Olympics which took place on Friday, October 28 at Rene Rost Middle School. Students participated in various events while at this special day. The Special Olympics Results are as follows:
Kipton King- First Place in the 25 meter run and First Place in tennis ball throw
Kyra Landry - Second Place in wheelchair race
Austin Laperouse- First place in 25 meter run and Second Place in tennis ball throw.
Tyler Landry - First Place in 10 meter walk and Second place in tennis ball throw
Cross Country News
10/4/22 EMS ran in the AES Blue Gator 2 miler. The girls finished 2nd and the boys finished 1st with 19 schools participating and over 225 runners.
10/8/22 EMS CC participated in the Teurlings Catholic MS "Run for a Cure". The boys and girls teams both took 1st place with 22 schools participating.
10/19/22 EMS CC traveled to Forked Island E Broussard to compete in the Vermilion Parish Championships where the girls finished Runners-Up and the boys finished as the Champions.
Girls team members who made All-Parish are: Cheyenne Earnest (2nd), Abigail Theall (5th), and Gretchen Theriot (10th).
Boys team members who made All-Parish are: Parker Blanchard (Individual Parish Champion), Mason Soirez (2nd), Aiden Greig (5th), Connor Lange (7th), and Caul LeBlanc (8th).
EMS is very proud of all of their hard work and successes.
