Family Engagement in Education Month is a time to celebrate the crucial role parents and families play in their children's education. When schools work together with families to support learning, children are more motivated to succeed, not just in school, but throughout life.

Miller Elementary recognizes the vital role that our families play throughout a child's educational journey. Listed below are examples of how you can be engaged with your child this month!

We salute all parents and families and we encourage you to continue to support your child throughout their entire education!

We're Ready for i-Ready has been moved to Monday, November 14th 5:20 - 6:10pm!

Your presence was greatly appreciated! We hope that you will continue to use all of the valuable tips you learned to help our students while they rocket to success! And make sure you check out parent resources under the parents and students tab on the school's webpage! Look for Family Engagement!

Miller students and families are encouraged to join us for MES Skate Night to support Relay For Life!

Must bring signed permission form and $5 to enter. No skate passes can be used.

Permission slips come home week of skate night.

Families of all grade levels, you are invited to share your input, suggestions and concerns at our annual Parent Action Team meeting (Engagement Engineers)! We also review our Title I documents and activities!

Veterans Day is the day set aside to thank and honor women and men who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Thank you for your service to us all!

Kindergarten - 5th grade families, please join us in the cafeteria for an explanation of what iReady is, how it is used in the classroom and how you can help at home! Bring your child's device (if they have one) for a hands on demonstration!

Hey 3rd grade families! Nervous about what the GMAS & MAP Tests are? Wondering what does it measure in your student? Not feeling knowledgeable about how to understand the scores?

Well this testing training is for you! Make plans to join us right here in the media center November 29th 5:45 - 6:30 pm to have all of your questions answered so that you and your student are calm about taking these tests for the first time!

Please put children's first and last names on clothing and personal items brought to school.

Lost and found is located right across from the cafeteria. Encourage your child to check lost and found for lost items regularly.

Unclaimed items are donated to charity in December and again in May.
