RHHS Wildcats: News You Can Use
#LND - LeaveNoDoubt - April 18, 2019
Student schedules for next year
Hard copy, draft student schedules for SY 19-20 were distributed in advisement today. Schedules for next school year are not accessible in PowerSchool, so the paper copy provided in advisement is a very important resource.
While nearly 93% of student requests were satisfied, there will still be situations where all requests could not be satisfied for a number of reasons. To address any scheduling errors or missing classes (due to conflicts between requests), we will begin taking schedule change requests when we return from spring break.
Schedule changes will be addressed according to the following schedule below.
The last day to submit a schedule change request form will be Friday, May 10.
Rising 12th Grade Students: Monday, April 29- Friday, May 3
Rising 11th Grade Students: Monday, May 6 - Friday, May 10
Rising 10th Grade Students: Monday, May 13 - Friday, May 17
Rising 9th Grade Students: Monday, May 20 - Friday, May 24
During this initial drop/add window, the only way to request a change will be for students to obtain a schedule change request form from the counseling suite in rooms 515/516. Forms must be signed by student and parent and returned to the counseling suite during the time frame above. Calling and emailing to obtain the forms will only slow the process so we ask again that students obtain the form on their own before or after school or during a class change. Thanks in advance for your understanding as we build toward a successful start for the 2019-20 school year.
Fuddruckers is Wildcat Proud!
This week, Mr. Sean Bianchi, Visual Arts teacher, and some of his students, spent a day creating a mural at the new Fuddruckers in Richmond Hill.
In honor of this mural and the students' hard work, Fuddruckers is going to host a “Richmond Hill Night” on Wednesday, 4/24/19. Students and their families can receive 25% off of their meals if they say they came to see the mural. Pretty cool!
RHHS 1:1 - buying a chromebook for your child
Since RHHS has become a 1:1 school, we have sought ways to enhance our program and the experience for all our students.
Pathway 1 and 2 for our 1:1 program involves RHHS issuing a school-owned chromebook to the student. Pathway 3 allows a student to have his/her personal laptop (approved by the school) to be registered and used by the student.
Beginning this spring, we will add Pathway 4 as an option for our 1:1 program, allowing students to purchase a chromebook from us at a competitive rate. Purchasing a chromebook from us gives ownership to the student, while still allowing students to retain technical support through RHHS. The student will also be able to keep his/her chromebook over the summer instead of turning it in for inventory purposes.
Complete information about this option, Pathway 4, is provided in the links below.

Graduating seniors have asked if they can purchase their currently issued chromebooks. Yes, this option will be made available! Please watch for more information about this when we return from spring break.
Spring Break Holidays
RHHS will be fully closed during this time, except for region playoff games for baseball and soccer.
Everyone returns bright and early on Monday, April 29th.
Best wishes for you and your family for a wonderful spring break holiday.
AP Exams begin in May
