Weekly Updates from CCSD
Message from Dr. Johnson
Drop Everything and Read (DEAR)
We celebrated DEAR Day this month, and I encourage you to drop everything and read a book daily or even weekly. Take some time to grow professionally and personally by reading a book of your choice. Reading helps us gain knowledge while exercising our brains and reducing stress. So take a moment to read and relax.
Testing
Next week as testing begins, please be reminded to follow all laws and guidelines about the testing environment. Schools have already posted and sent home the testing dates and guidelines. If you have not seen any information, please get in touch with the school. Our schools will create an environment conducive to success in your students' schools. We know our students can and will do their very best!
Please remember to contact the school about student behavior and grade concerns.
Don't Forget to Download Our District App!

Special thanks to Jaceri and Sheldon Bennett, owners of Ultimate Gamers and Maggie Bennett, owner of Let's Bounce for volunteering their services.

RWES students enjoyed their Pepper Tasting!
Classroom Learning is Lit
MHS started EOC (End of Course Test) Blitz sessions to assist students with concepts they will see on the EOC.
The Social Studies Department had a great turnout. Students spent the 1st half of the afternoon going over the Manifest Destiny period & Jackson Democracy, took a 5 min snack break, then broke off into groups to play a review game. The department has broken up 400 years of US History into 8 days. Each day they will cover a different time period & refresh students’ memories on different historical topics.
F.E. DuBose continues to provide the rigor and hands-on experiences for students to prepare for many career paths. Encourage students to take a pathway!
