In an online course, feedback is one of the most important ways teachers teach. If you are not reading and applying feedback, you are not learning as much as you could be. Feedback is found in the grade book. There are two kinds of feedback in Canvas: overall feedback and rubric feedback.

As you complete your practice activities and assignments for each module, be sure you reference the information you learned in the lesson notes. Read the assignment directions as well as the rubric for each activity/assignment - notice that much of your grade is based on how you apply what you learned.

My name is Melissa Ray and I have been teaching high school students for over 23 years. I graduated from Meredith College with a double major in American History and Political Studies and received my National Board Certification in 2006. I taught high school social studies classes including US History, World History, and Psychology in both Nash-Rocky Mount and Wake County schools. For the last 11 years, I have been teaching Leadership Development for NCVPS.
