News From Nighthawk Nation
Elevating Excellence in Academics, Character & Community
Week of September 21, 2020
Leadership Corner
Nighthawk Nation,
We are in full preparation mode to gear up for the return of our students! In an effort to ensure that our teachers are well prepared in the safety protocol and procedures for the return of students we have set aside times to get them adequately trained in the next few weeks. Please be aware that next week (9/21-9/25) teachers are participating in professional development throughout the day. Due to the need for updated training regarding safety and procedures, K-5 teachers will be in trainings Wednesday-Friday throughout the day. As a result small groups during these days will not be offered and teachers might not be able to support students on demand as they have the past few weeks. If your student needs support please feel free to reach out to your teacher and they will get back to you when they are available.
6-8 grade students will have a regular schedule up to their return on 10/5.
There is a lot that has gone into planning for the safe return of students, please keep an eye on your emails for communications regarding specific information from your building principals. If you have not already done so, please make sure you have updated your email address in Infinite Campus so you are receiving these important communications.
We are excited to have students back in our buildings!

NVCS Library Books
We have been so busy collecting, sanitizing and reshelving our books from last year. We are so excited to start the check out process again, but first we need to have all of our books returned and inventoried.
If you have books that belong to NVCS, please bring them to either campus. If it is outside of office hours, just drop it in our mailbox. You will know it is an NVCS book if it has a barcode with our name on it. Most books also have our school stamp on the inside cover.
If you are having trouble locating your books, or they have been destroyed, please let us know. Your honest communication with us will help us to understand what we can expect to come back, and what is gone for good.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our Libraries and the love of reading.
